Thank you for your interest in taking classes with Brush & Paisley. We are very excited to share our knowledge and passion with the students. We offer a range of classes to fit various interests and age groups. Please contact us for more information.

For registration, please complete and submit the  Registration Form. We'll send an invoice after recieving your registration form. You can either send a check, cash or make payment using Paypal.

 

Drawing & Painting 

Kids, Youth & Teens (5-18 years)

This course is designed to introduce young students to drawing and painting techniques using different types of mediums, such as pencils, watercolor and acrylics. Students are also encouraged to develop their personal creativity and expressiveness. Students will create work from observation and imagination and receive instruction based on their own skill level.

 

Frequency: Weekly

Day & Time:  Wednesday & Sunday - 4 PM - 5 PM  (Location: Burlington, MA, , No classes on Nov. 24th, Nov. 27th, Dec. 1st & 4th)

Monday: 4 PM - 5 PM, 5 PM - 6 PM (Location: Hopkinton, MA, December 9th-February 3rd)

Thursday: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Location: Lexington, MA, No class on Oct. 31st, Nov. 28th, Dec. 26th)

Enrollment:  Ongoing

Fee:  Session: $200/9 classes, Monthly: $100/4 classes, Single: $30/per class

 

Drawing & Shading

Kids, Youth & Teens (5-18 years)

 These classes explore the essential fundamentals of Drawing, Hatching, and Shading. The structures and techniques will help you develop your skills and express your ideas with understanding and creativity. You will learn how to draw a portrait, still life landscape and flowers with pencil and Charcoal.

Day & Time:  Sunday- 4 PM-5 PM (Location: Burlington, MA)

Madhubani & Kalamkari Painting

Kids, Youth & Adults

Madhubani/Mithila painting is a style of folk art that originated in Bihar, India. Well-established procedures and techniques are passed through the generations, keeping the ephemeral art form and tradition alive.

The goal of the class is to develop the student’s skills and to use the distinctive Mithila aesthetics and iconography to create paintings that are rooted in the tradition and express the artist’s interests, experiences, and concerns.

 

Frequency: Weekly

Day & Time:  Wednesday - 5 PM - 6 PM

Fees: Session: $200/9 classes, Monthly: $100/4 classes, Single: $30/per class

 

Project Based Classes

Youth & Adults:

The student gets choice of projects to pick from. The course includes preparatory consultancy regarding selection of the item based on individual-interest, dedicated time available and personal art efficiency. The student then is hand-held till the completion of project.

 

Frequency: Bi-weekly

Day & Time:  Thursday- 7 PM - 9 PM

1. Where are the classes held?
Burlington: 1 Stonehill Circle, Burlington, MA 01803

2. What are the days and hours for the classes?
Currently we offer weekly and bi-weekly classes for children and adults 5 and above. If the listed time doesn't work for you, please let us know. We'll try to accomondate you in other classes.  All classes are subject to have at least 4 students.

 

3. What is the teacher student ratio?
There will be 4-8 students in a class in Burlington, 6-12 students in Lexington, and 8-12 students in Hopkinton.
 

4. What supplies do they need to bring?
We provide all required supplies for the drawing & painting, Madhubani classes, Paint together and vacation week art programs. For project based session, we provide the list of supplies after discussing the project with the student (Students also have an option to use supplies from the class).

 

5. How do I register for the class?

Registration is 2 step process.

1.Complete and submit the  Registration Form.  

2. We'll review and send invoice after recieving your registration form. You can make payment using Cash, Cheque or PayPal to secure your space.
 
6. When is the payment due?

Your fees are due on or before the first class in a month. The fee could be paid in cash, check, bank transfer or through PayPal.
 

7. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Zelle and PayPal payments.
 

8. What is the missed class policy?

  • If you or your child plans to miss a class - 48 hours advance notice is required in order to have a make-up class.
  • Only one makeup class will be offered each month. It's your responsibility to coordinate with the instructor to schedule the make-up class. Make up classes should be completed within 60 days of missing the class. 
  • The fees for missed classes are non-refundable or not carried forward under any circumstances.
  • Class timings and schedule are subject to change
